dc.description.abstractThis paper explores the challenges archivists will face as they grapple with the influence of artificial intelligence on their daily workflows, the changing repository users’ expectations, and the necessity to remain relevant through these challenges. Cultural heritage workers will have a choice to reconfirm their societal value as those who are uniquely qualified to provide verifiable accessibility to archival holdings or be forgotten. Fresh approaches and collaborations will be key to meeting this wicked challenge at the risk of being paralyzed by inaction.
