The field of social entrepreneurship is gathering considerable interest in academia and the popular press alike. In this paper, the authors will highlight the potential impact of cloud computing on social entrepreneurship. Cloud computing is also acquiring more attention as it allows social enterprises to better focus on their core business and to realize cost and time savings. The transformative power of cloud computing is being utilized today by social enterprises and it is changing business models, cost models, and data centers, as it holds tremendous implications for social entrepreneurship as it pertains to financial performance.
